I’m serving some street inspiration today.
Bit of history…Did you know that the first denim jacket was created around 1880 by denim legend and Levi’s founder, Levi Strauss? He designed them for cowboys, railroad engineers, and miners to wear during the gold rush out West (when gold was first found in California). Food for thought 🙂
Also, got myself a new photographer so you will notice the edits have changed. We are now trying more white tones and have deviated a bit from my normal warm hues. The pictures still look bomb AF.
A basic denim jacket is a must staple in everyone’s wardrobe then from there you can get all the variations the world has to offer. You can pair denim jackets with tights; dresses, both long and short; body-con skirts; rompers and jumpsuits; on top of hoodies etc. It can be reconstructed, distressed (ripped), worn off the shoulder and buttoned up like a top. Anything really, since they are a classic and come in all shapes and sizes.
We’ve been experiencing a lot of rain in Nairobi for some time now and we took advantage of this. I’m mainly sporting my oversize denim jacket in this post. It was gifted but bought at Pull&Bear. The perk about this jacket is its super warm on the inside (it’s lined with satin cloth), and it comes with the patches which is a plus. Despite the weather, I was flaunting a gray crop top, which I paired with fitted black jeans, maroon Vans, my usual statement His&Hers chain and a hat that I got from LC Waikiki. It’s a retro-inspired ensemble.

Until next time xx!
