There is this famous quote about love that goes like this, “So many years of education and no one taught us how to love ourselves and why it is important” or something close to that. I often think about this because without wanting it there are certain times in your life where you feel lonely, depressed, not enough in many ways, disappointed with yourself, disappointed with others etc. the list goes on. As human beings we need /want others to be there for us but you need to ask yourself, are you there for yourself? for them?
So you have to accept yourself and establish the people you want to see the real you; good, bad and ugly and vice versa. Because if you choose wrong then life will be very difficult for you dear. I’m not saying it will be easy as you will end up losing ‘friends’ along the way, I’m telling you it will be worth it . The main point is that it all has to start with you. As much as you commit to them, you also have to commit to yourself. You have to be comfortable with yourself; your skin; your decisions; your abilities. You have to stand firm against criticism both from yourself and others. Most importantly allow God in; let him guide you through it. He molded you so he knows you best 🙂
ANYWAY onto the post…I just LOVE art. Yes graffiti is a form of art. It is a form of expression and mostly for troublemakers hehe.
Music, like nothing else, has the power to transport emotions and memories through time and space. Knowingly or not, a certain song has the power to leave an imprint on your mind, never to be erased again. Here are some of the empowering songs I was listening to as I wrote this post:
1. Brave by Sara Bareilles
2. F**ckin’ Perfect by P!nk
3. Love Myself by Hailee Steinfeld
4. Masterpiece by Jessie J
